Bill Cunningham New York

Before the Sartorialist, Street Peepers, or Fashion Bloggers there was Bill Cunningham, street style photographer. Cunningham has been chronicling fashion trends and high society charity events for the Times Style section, for his column On the Street and Evening Hours for many years. Filmmaker Richard Press’ documentary on the living legend begins with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour remarking, “We all get dressed for Bill.” The film sees how the 80-year-old New York Times photographer has told his fashion stories of untown influencers and outlandishly dressed downtowners and everything in between...

Bill Cunningham New York will open in New York on March 16 at Film Forum and in Los Angeles on March 23.
