Fall/Winter Trends
Now that
summer is coming to a close, it's about time we start looking at key
pieces we need to put in our wardrobes for fall and winter. It’s nearly time to
tuck away the bathing suits and think about new colours and styles for the
colder days. So, what should we be looking out for now?
Punk is
BACK!
This season punk returns for the first time since 2010, bringing back
plaids, studs and spikes. Instead of bold entire outfits, this year it’ll be more
subtle pieces and in 2013, the focus is on adding key pieces of ‘punk’ to outfits
and designers are putting a heavy focus on grunge accessories.
So, what’s
different about punk in 2013? It will be refreshing and less about a big grunge
theme. Creating a feminine outfit and then adding some punk-rock detail is the
perfect way to give your outfit some edge and intensity.
Tough
accessories like tartan pieces or chains will enhance your outfit and balance
it out. Mixing punk with other seasonal trends this year is definitely the way
to go!

Say hi to
Dusty Pinks!
Making you look feminine and elegant, this color can be combined
with darks or lights to create a varying look, taking you from businesswoman in
a charcoal suit to sleek, seductive cocktail drinker when paired with light
greys and neutral shades.
If you
make one investment this season, a pastel pink coat is a necessity. While other
colours such as greens and blues are also thought to be a hit this season, a
dusty pink coat will cross two big fashion must-haves off your list!

Boys,
boys, boys!
Looking for a jacket? Men's jackets and men's fabrics are the way to go! Big is definitely beautiful as oversized and boxy is supported by designer's such as DKNY and Chanel this season. Single and double breasted styles are all the
range and will be a big hit over fall and winter. Keep warm and look fierce in
these oversized coats!
Pinstripes
and houndstooth are also being reinvented, with a new more feminine twist being taken
with these materials. Elegantly draping them or embroidering them with feathers
illustrate two brand new ways we can wear menswear fabrics.
Masculine
tailoring this season means things that look like you’ve just raided your boyfriend’s/dad’s/brother’s
closet will make you look perfectly on trend this season, so pillage away!

Let’s welcome American Pastoral!
This
fall, we're taking a step back and enjoying some time with nature. Cozy, warm
knits and coats with fur-trim are going to be big this season, with the big
fashion favourite TWEED making a huge comeback.
They aren’t
designed to shy away. These American Pastoral pieces are designed to be
comfortable but impeccably stylish, ensuring you can never go wrong with a
casual cream knitted jumper or a pair of high boots. Let’s go and spend some
time with Mother Nature and embrace comfort and luxury.

From snug
knit dresses to tartan, punk skirts and pinstripe jackets to
pastel coats, there’s a lot to look out for this season. Make sure you focus on
pieces that make you look and feel good, and always think outside the box.
Remember to wear your biggest asset: your confidence!
